Prologue to Black Lace
Destiny is a strange word to me now, it means an event or course of events that will inevitably happen in the future, which to me seems obsolete. At one point and time I thought I had a destiny, a destiny to be in the army like my father. I looked up to my father very much unlike my brother, who hated him for dying and leaving my mother alone to care for us and Grandma Smith.
Marriane Williamson once said
"Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond all measure."
I once felt powerful beyond all measure, but it sickens me now to think about it. Especially now that I have no destiny to see before me here in this asylum they have put me in.
No destiny and a loathing of power.
