Swing

The drums start and you grab his hands
He pulls you into Cuddle
Then you're swung out
As he lets go of your hand
You spin in circles till he pulls you into a dip
He quickly brings you up
To start you in Cuddle once more
You're swung out again
And then pulled into him to lean
Then you jump to his knee
Once, Twice
He bounces you right off his knee
Onto the floor where you land
To start once more...in Cuddle

Dancer

Gliding gracefully across the floor
Never faltering
Evenly, smoothly
You watch a stream of emotions cross her face
As she starts moving swiftly across the stage
Lights brighten
The crowd gasps
As she ends
On her knees

Scenery

Scenery
I see the scene laying before me
Questions flying through my mind
My gaze is steady as i wonder why,
Why it hurts so much when it's supposed to feel good?
Why do tears come to my eyes as I think about it?
Why?
Prologue to Black Lace
Destiny is a strange word to me now, it means an event or course of events that will inevitably happen in the future, which to me seems obsolete.
At one point and time I thought I had a destiny, a destiny to be in the army like my father. I looked up to my father very much unlike my brother, who hated him for dying and leaving my mother alone to care for us and Grandma Smith.
Marriane Williamson once said
"Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond all measure."
I once felt powerful beyond all measure, but it sickens me now to think about it. Especially now that I have no destiny to see before me here in this asylum they have put me in.
No destiny and a loathing of power.

Paint
Bruised & Broken

Inside,
Is how I feel
As I paint my
Face
Covering the hurt

I feel
Hiding my sorrow
And pain
From the world
I Paint
Slowly filling in

The holes
Waiting to heal
Wanting
To feel better
